Prohibited Items

The following information is provided to enhance your visit to the Arnold Palmer Invitational as well as to comply with the rules and regulations established by the PGA TOUR. 

No cameras/video cameras permitted after Wednesday

No radios, TV’s, signs or banners

No alcoholic beverages may enter or leave the course

No clipboards or items larger than 8”x12” for autographs

No coolers, chair bags, knapsacks, backpacks, or bags larger than six (6) will be allowed on the grounds

No firearms or explosive devices

All items are subject to search. You will be asked to return all unauthorized items to your car before you are allowed to board shuttle. Failure to follow the direction of security guards, gallery marshals or championship officials may result in ejection from the grounds or revocation of your tickets without refund. Please observe the rules and regulations noted above.

PGA TOUR’s Mobile Device Policy

  • Device must be on silent at all times.
  • Calls may be placed or answered only in designated “Cell Phone Zones.”
  • Devices may not be used to capture audio/video at any time during tournament week.
  • During practice and pro-am rounds, photography is permitted in all areas.
  • During official competition rounds, photography is prohibited within any areas of competition (i.e. teeing grounds, tee shot landing areas and on/around putting greens) or when requested by tournament staff, security, players, or player representatives. P
  • Data use (e.g., texting, email, etc.) will be permitted outside of the designated “Cell Phone Zones” all week o Data use is not permitted when players are in position to compete (i.e., when QUIET PLEASE paddles are raised)


During competitive rounds (Thursday - Sunday), a player will not sign autographs during his round until it is completed. An autograph area will be designated, and players have the option to use this area. (No clipboards or items larger than 8" x 12" for autographs)


What should I wear?

Appropriate casual golf attire with comfortable walking shoes. You may want to consider bringing a light jacket, hat/visor, sunscreen, sunglasses or umbrella. Be sure to check the weather forecast.

Are purses or bags allowed?

No bags larger than a small purse 6”x6” including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags or chair bags allowed. Click here for a full list of prohibited items.

May I wear golf shoes to the tournament?

If you plan to wear golf shoes to the championship, please note that the Bay Hill Club golf course has a No Metal Spikes Policy.
